Whistles are a source of mystery, surprise, and delight. Learn to create a whistling songbird pendant in metal clay! This intense but fun workshop will explain how a whistle works, cover troubleshooting tips and tricks found nowhere else, introduce some of my favorite hollow-form construction and sculpting techniques, and utilize my tested methods for ensuring whistle success. Some metal clay experience is recommended, but beginners are welcome.

Split-Leaf Jewelry & Other Fun With Hollow Forms

One-day workshop, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

In this intense but fun workshop, learn to make jewelry with intriguing inner spaces, utilizing some of my favorite techniques for making hollow forms. Starting with a lovely split-leaf design, create earrings or a pendant with dry-construction techniques, and learn ways to set CZs securely before firing. But that's not all! I will also share a wonderfully simple and quick way of making metal clay hollow forms in any shape, without the use of armatures. All levels welcome.
